Prior to the release of EPXT, I was using Macromedia Freehand to design and build packaging for DEI's vehicle and security products. If positioning was incorrect (due to the bad EPS preview in QuarkXPress) a graphic may accidentally end up too close to a box fold, and was costly to fix once the project has gone to film. Every millimeter counts. Additionally, EPXT has streamlined our production process. Our film vendor used to take our Freehand application file and import it into QuarkXPress for the film RIP. Building the entire project in QuarkXPress saves the film vendor a tedious step, while saving us a valuable day of production time. EPXT changed the way I work.
