With the addition of Precision Preview XT (PPXT) to your QuarkXPress (PPC) toolset, a powerful set of picture handling and production tools are at your fingertips.PPXT lets you import three powerful file formats directly into your layouts: native Photoshop files, Live Picture’s native file format (IVUE), and the new FlashPix file format.
Additionally, PPXT adds a professional RGB to CMYK color separation engine to XPress. Now, at print time, you can separate using any one of our 25 built-in separation tables, or use your own favorite separation tables. You can create special effects, view progressives, check dot percentages, even apply on-the-fly unsharp masking — using the same controls you use in Photoshop.
Never again will you lose valuable production time jumping back into Photoshop to separate those RGB images that somehow slip through the cracks. And best of all, your original images remain untouched — intact and safe — giving you the flexibility to make creative adjustments as your output needs change.
